Khaberni - In line with its firm commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusion in society, and as part of its initiatives and programs supporting people with disabilities, Zain Jordan lit up its buildings on King Abdullah II Street in the capital, Amman, in purple, celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, reflecting its vision in empowering this group and ensuring their full integration into society.

Zain pays special attention to supporting people with disabilities by integrating them into its service system, programs, and initiatives, alongside utilizing modern technology tools to develop innovative solutions that ensure their access to all the services it offers with ease and independence. Zain ensures that all its buildings and showrooms are accommodating environments for its customers and employees with disabilities, facilitating their movement and access to services without barriers. Zain is also keen on disseminating educational materials and videos on its social media platforms to raise community awareness about disability issues and to promote a culture of integration.

Over the past years, Zain has developed an integrated system of leading solutions supporting people with disabilities, most notably what it offers to subscribers of the "Smile +" line. It is the first line of its kind in the kingdom, dedicated to the deaf and hard of hearing since its launch in 2015. It provides them with a 25 GB internet package, in addition to 3000 minutes of video calls, giving them greater flexibility to interact with others, whether in their daily or professional lives.

Zain also provides for its deaf customers a specialized subscriber service center that includes employees from the deaf community, which can be contacted through the Zain application daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, all its showrooms are equipped with tablets featuring instant translation in sign language, providing them direct support that meets their inquiries and needs and offers comprehensive solutions.

Zain was also the first telecommunications company to support the free emergency line for the deaf in 2014, which was the result of a fruitful partnership between Zain, the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the Command and Control Center in the Public Security Directorate. It won first place in the Zero project on Inclusive Education ICT. The company continued to support this project through the support of the emergency call application for deaf people (114) on smartphones, launched by the Public Security Directorate in 2023.

In a step that is the first of its kind in the region, Zain provided contracts for mobile phone services through visible and audible video to its customers with hearing and visual disabilities. They can be accessed by scanning the QR Code available in all company showrooms, ensuring a clear and comprehensive understanding of the contract details and enhancing the independence of subscribers in decision-making.
