Khaberni - The office of the Israeli Prime Minister announced that Benjamin Netanyahu had ordered the dispatch of an Israeli delegation to meet with Lebanese government officials.

The office confirmed - in a post on the "X" platform - that Netanyahu has tasked the acting director of the National Security Council with sending an envoy on his behalf, clarifying that the meeting with Lebanese officials will be "a first attempt to establish the foundations of economic relations between the two parties."

Since October 2023, Israel has launched an aggression against Lebanon, which turned into a full-scale war in September 2024 that killed more than 4,000 people and injured about 17,000.

The two parties signed a ceasefire agreement on November 27, 2024. However, Israel has repeatedly violated the agreement and continues to occupy 5 Lebanese hills in the south that it captured in the last war, in addition to other Lebanese areas it has occupied for decades.
