Khaberni - Sean "Diddy" Combs objected to a new documentary series launched by Netflix titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which is currently showing on December 2. The series, which is made up of four parts, explores controversial aspects of the music producer's life and related issues, with the production being handled by rapper 50 Cent, Combs' former rival.

Diddy attacked the Netflix platform after the documentary's announcement, describing it as a "disgraceful act," and alongside his legal team, launched a significant attack on the platform.

Combs' team accused the production company of relying on filmed material obtained illegally according to what the "Independent" newspaper relayed. The footage includes private scenes and unpublished materials related to legal preparations, and his team asserts that they did not receive any approvals to use them. Sean Diddy also claimed that Netflix used content he had been collecting for a while with the intent of presenting his own narrative.

For its part, Netflix did not issue a direct statement regarding the controversy, while director Alexandria Stapleton previously stated that the work depends on materials obtained through legal means, and pointed out that the series aims to present a vision of how the public interacts with celebrities and the impact of their stardom.

In related developments, 50 Cent participated in promoting the project through media interviews, denying any personal motives behind his involvement, considering that addressing such issues is a special duty.

50 Cent appeared on "Good Morning America" with director Alexandria Stapleton, and denied the accusations he faced, saying that his silence would have meant the acceptance by the hip-hop community of Combs' actions, noting that he is the only one raising his voice against these behaviors.

It is worth mentioning that Sean Diddy Combs continues to serve a prison sentence in New Jersey after being convicted in charges related to trafficking people for prostitution, while he was acquitted of other charges. Authorities in Los Angeles are also investigating an incident dating back to 2020.
