Khaberni - The Finance Committee continues today, Wednesday, its discussion on the draft law of the general budget for the fiscal year 2026.
The committee discusses in the House of Representatives, during the meeting scheduled to be held at one in the afternoon, the budgets of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research and their respective departments.
The committee will also discuss the budgets of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Ministry of Youth and their respective departments, and the Department of Fatwa and the Chief Islamic Judge.
Representatives from the ministries, departments, and the authority are expected to attend to discuss the budget requirements, details of current and capital expenditures, and the major projects that will be included in the upcoming fiscal year.
The chairman of the Finance Committee, Dr. Nimer Al-Salehat, expected that the committee would conclude the discussion of the draft law of the budget on December 8th, after which it will be referred to the council for discussion and voting.
