The Jordanian Womens Team crowned the champion of the 9th West Asia Championship

Khaberni - The national women's football team was crowned champions of the West Asia Championship, in its ninth edition, after defeating their Palestinian counterparts with a score of 3-1 in the final match that took place on Tuesday evening at Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Player Celine Akrush opened the scoring for the team in the 13th minute, and the team's captain, Aya Al Majali, added the second goal in the 31st minute from a penalty, while Farah Abu Tayeh increased the team's lead with the third goal in the 63rd minute, whereas the only goal for the Palestinian team was scored by their player Noor Yousef in the 85th minute.
The national team is the most frequent winner of the West Asia Championship, having been crowned champions in 7 out of 9 editions.
The Iraqi team secured the third place after defeating the Saudi team 4-2 on penalties, following a 2-2 draw in regular time.
