Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, died of a heart attack on July 24, 2025, at his home, and he was also suffering from leukemia.
But wrestler Ric Flair came out with a new story on the "Doubl3 Coverage" program, and he confirmed that he spoke with Hulk Hogan shortly before his death, noting that the last days of the "WWE legend" were painful because he decided to rely on drugs after doctors stopped prescribing painkillers to him.
Ric Flair added: I spoke to him the day before he died, I shouldn't say this, but he died because of the drugs found on the streets, because the doctor stopped prescribing more painkillers to him, so he turned to drugs because he was suffering from severe pain.
The former wrestler explained that Hogan underwent a neck surgery in addition to 10 back surgeries, two knee surgeries, and two hip surgeries, and when doctors stopped prescribing more painkillers, he couldn't bear the pain and went to the streets to look for drugs.
Ric Flair emphasized that Hogan's death was the price that had to be paid for a harsh life in the wrestling ring.
