Khaberni - American President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that the United States is no longer financially involved in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, directly indicating that the previous administration of President Joe Biden was distributing money like candy.

Trump made these remarks during a cabinet meeting held at the White House, where he stated: "The previous administration gave Ukraine $350 billion as if it were candy. We provided a lot of it in cash and a lot in equipment, but I'm not giving anything away for free now."

Adding to the discussion about the crisis, Trump said, "We are trying to stop the war in Ukraine. I have stopped eight wars and will stop the ninth. I care about the people who are dying, most of them are young, where 27,000 Ukrainians and Russians were killed last month."

The president revealed direct efforts for a settlement, indicating that "our people (Witkoff and Kushner) are now in Russia to see if it can be ended. But let me tell you, it's not an easy issue. What a mess. This war would not have happened if I were president."

This comes at a time when President Trump is holding a cabinet session in the White House while the special envoy Steven Witkoff is meeting with the Russian president in Moscow, accompanied by the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Despite the lack of a pre-announced official agenda for the cabinet session, it was expected that ongoing efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine would be discussed.

In the Kremlin in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin today started a meeting with the American delegation led by Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner to discuss settling the Ukrainian crisis.
