Khaberni - MP Dr. Tamara Nasser El-Din participated in the regional workshop organized by the Arab Women's Organization in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, under the title: “The Role of Legislation in Enhancing Paid Leave and Flexible Work Policies”.
Nasser El-Din emphasized the importance of developing leave and flexible work policies as they are a fundamental pillar in the Jordanian system of updates, pointing out that recent amendments to the Jordanian Labor Law reflect a clear reformative direction aimed at enhancing the work environment and achieving balance between professional and family life.
Nasser El-Din reviewed the Jordanian experience in leave and flexible work policies during the workshop, and their positive impact on families, communities, institutions, and the national economy, stating that developing these legislations serves as a critical tool to enhance women's economic participation and improve institutional efficiency. She added that adopting policies supportive of families and flexible work contributes directly to establishing a stable and more sustainable work environment, in line with the modernization requirements that Arab countries aspire to.
This workshop is part of the regional efforts aimed at keeping pace with the paths of social and economic modernization in the region, especially regarding the development of labor legislation and enhancing practices that support women and empower them in the labor market.
