Khaberni - The University of Jordan Hospital, on Tuesday, welcomed 5 children from the Gaza Strip suffering from heart diseases, in collaboration with the "Chain of Hope" foundation, "Gift of Life" international organization – Jordan branch, and the "Children Not Numbers" foundation, in line with the continuing humanitarian directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, supporting the Palestinian brethren.
According to a statement from the hospital today, Tuesday, the arrival of these cases to the hospital is part of the ongoing Jordanian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people of the region. Yesterday, Monday, the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, transported the eighteenth batch of child patients, which included 16 children and 51 companions, to the Kingdom to receive the necessary medical care, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.
A specialized medical team at the hospital headed by the senior consultant pediatric cardiologist Dr. Eyad Al-Amouri is overseeing the cases. The team will conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests and medical preparations necessary for the scheduled surgeries.
The General Director of the hospital, Nader Basool, emphasised that receiving the children from Gaza directly reflects the royal directives and showcases Jordan's leading and humanitarian role under the leadership of His Majesty the King. He noted that the hospital is mobilizing all its medical, technical, and human resources to provide a comprehensive and safe care for the children, driven by its humanitarian mission and national responsibility.
For his part, Al-Amouri explained that the children would undergo thorough medical evaluation followed by open-heart surgeries or interventional catheterizations as part of a specialized surgical campaign, in cooperation with international medical teams, assuring the hospital's dedication to providing the highest levels of care to ensure the success of the surgeries and the children’s recovery.
