Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission has set a maximum deadline of two weeks for all state entities to submit the names of employees, both leaders and supervisors who obtained academic degrees from dubious universities, in order to refer them to the public prosecutor. This is according to exclusive information obtained by "Al-Qabas" newspaper.

The Kuwaiti newspaper reported that the specialized committee formed by the Cabinet under the chairmanship of the Minister of Higher Education, and including members from the Civil Service Bureau and the Fatwa and Legislation Administration, will be responsible for examining and verifying the authenticity of the degrees after being submitted by state entities using a strict mechanism, in addition to taking legal actions against those proven to be involved in manipulation and forgery.

In a related context, the concerned committee refers employees who obtained degrees through dubious means or from a fake university to the public prosecution after investigating them and proving forgery, according to the approved legal procedures, and "Al-Qabas" newspaper pointed out that the Cabinet issued strict instructions on the necessity to scrutinize the degrees closely, without leniency towards forgers, placing the degree verification file as a priority.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Sharida Al-Maousherji, stressed the importance of collective efforts in verifying the academic degrees of state employees.

This occurred during a meeting he chaired last week for the committee responsible for examining the academic degrees of employees in both the public and private sectors, among citizens and residents, to ensure their authenticity.
