Khaberni - The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) approved a helicopter equipment deal worth up to $1 billion for Saudi Arabia, a major ally of the United States outside of NATO.
The two countries previously concluded a strategic defense agreement during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to Washington, at the White House.
The "Strategic Defense Agreement" enhances Riyadh's efforts to develop its military industries and improve the readiness of its armed forces, through the implementation of cooperative areas included in the defense agreement.
