Khaberni - The great musician Omar Khairat revealed developments of his health condition, after the severe illness he recently suffered from, which led to the postponement of several of his concerts and temporarily halted his artistic activity.
Omar Khairat said in televised statements that he is now in good health, pointing out that the love and concern of his audience made him feel uncomfortable, saying, "I felt uncomfortable for them.. and I never liked to bother them or cause them to worry about me."
He added "Therefore, I would like to reassure my dear fans that I am fine now.. and I thank President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Minister of Health, and everyone who took care of me and checked on me.. my love for my country and the people's love for me are the most beautiful things in my life."
Omar Khairat confirmed that he has resumed his artistic activities, and will start his first concert on December 5th in Qatar, noting that this concert had been agreed upon since last year.
He also mentioned that he is ready to release new musical works, explaining that he is working on compositions that the audience has never heard before, while also emphasizing his constant commitment to presenting his old tunes at all his concerts, due to the emotional connection they represent for the audience.
He added, "I am keen on presenting my old tunes at all my concerts, such as (Uncle Ahmad) and (There's Something Sweet), they must be played whether there is something new or not."
Asked whether he only performs concerts at sophisticated venues like the Egyptian Opera House, and whether he has considered holding a concert in a popular area like Sayeda Zeinab, Omar Khairat explained that he actually has performed open concerts to the public, adding "I did concerts in the Citadel and in Heliopolis at Korba for free, and once I did a tour in Upper Egypt in Minya, Assiut, Luxor, and Aswan several years ago to spread musical awareness."
