Mystery of the Missing Mother and Fetus Pregnant Woman Found Dead in Ninth Month Without Trace of Her Child

Khaberni - The disappearance of a pregnant woman in the state of Michigan, USA, turned into a complex mystery after the search teams found the body of Rebecca Park inside the Manistee National Forest, while her expected child disappeared without any trace, opening the door to widespread questions about the circumstances and mysteries of the incident.

The young woman, aged 22, was in her 39th week of pregnancy, just a few days away from her scheduled delivery date.

According to the "Metro" newspaper, the tragic incident began on the evening of November 4th, when Rebecca left her mother's home in the town of Boon.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the last time she was seen was when she got into a dark-colored car from the front seat, after which she completely disappeared from sight, before suddenly losing contact with her family, prompting relatives to officially report her missing.
The intensive search operations continued for three weeks before the searchers found the victim's body on November 25th, approximately 50 miles from where she was last seen.

The absence of any sign of the expected child puzzled the investigators and raised questions about the fate of the missing newborn.

The authorities found Rebecca's mobile phone near her mother's house a few days after her disappearance, which increased fears of her being the victim of a deliberate incident.

Richard Lee Valor, aged 43 and Rebecca's fiancé, told the media during the search period that he was the last to keep in touch with her family before she disappeared. He mentioned that Rebecca had told her mother that she would wait for someone to pick her up, and that she had an urgent errand to run just days before her delivery, then she left for a dark-colored car parked outside the house.

Valor confirmed at the time that losing contact with her was unusual, as she used to keep in touch with him constantly even when she wasn't by his side, which increased his worries about her condition and the fate of their expected child.

In a related context, Valor was arrested on the evening of the day the body was discovered on two charges related to the distribution of methamphetamine, while the victim's sister Kimberly was arrested on charges of tampering with evidence, lying to the police, and making a false report, without revealing more details.

The authorities did not charge either of them directly with Rebecca's death or her child's disappearance, but the court set Valor's bail at one million dollars cash and Kimberly's at $750,000 cash, considering both a threat to the community, and ordered them to be placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring in case they were released on bail.

The authorities continue the intensive search for the missing child, while waiting for the results of the forensic autopsy that may reveal the circumstances of the death and the fate of the fetus, while the office of the mayor of Wexford County refrained from disclosing any information related to the newborn before the issuance of the official report, indicating that the nature of the case imposes extreme caution in dealing with the information.
