Our national women's team aspires to win the West Asia Championship title for the seventh time in its history, as it is the most successful team in the history of the West Asia Championship, having won it six times out of eight previous editions, in the years 2024, 2022, 2019, 2014, 2007, and 2005.
The national team began its campaign in the tournament by defeating the Palestinian team with three goals to none, before sweeping its Lebanese counterpart in the second match with five goals to none, and surpassing its Iraqi counterpart with three goals to none in the semifinal match.
In turn, the Palestinian team reached the final at the expense of the host Saudi team by a penalty shootout margin of 4-3, after a goalless draw in regular time.
