Khaberni - Minister of Labor Khaled Al-Bakkar stated that graduates of the Vocational Training Corporation or Advanced Vocational Training College will benefit from a training course lasting one or two years, equivalent to an industrial diploma, aimed at qualifying them for the job market and its requirements.

Al-Bakkar added, in a talk via the program "Voice of the Kingdom" on Monday evening, that 138 programs taught by the Vocational Training Corporation align with the requirements of the Jordanian job market, emphasizing the necessity of qualifying the youth so that their skills match the requirements of the local job market and the developments in the global job market.

He clarified that one year is the minimum for training youth within the Vocational Training Corporation, noting that vocational training opens new horizons for youth for different job opportunities, and that the new global trend confirms that skills are more important than a certificate.

He pointed out that the global economy will lose 330 million job opportunities and create 170 million new opportunities, necessitating keeping up with the required skills in the global job market.

Al-Bakkar revealed that the Jordanian job market, both public and private sectors, created 95,000 job opportunities last year, while 96,000 people joined the social security for the first time since the beginning of the current year 2025.

He indicated that most of the workers in the jewelry and jewelry sector in Jordan are from the migrant workforce, due to the lack of qualification of the Jordanian labor for this sector despite the availability of good salaries in it.
