Khaberni - The Jordanian Nursing Council has obtained international accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an accredited provider of continuing professional development programs in nursing, for the period 2025–2029, to continue a journey of excellence and international accreditation that began in 2009.

The Council stated on Monday that it has become the first Jordanian institution to earn this accreditation, and this leadership continued until the accreditation was renewed for the fifth time until 2029.

This achievement confirms the Council's commitment to applying global quality standards and enhancing the capabilities of nursing personnel in line with the needs of the national health system.

The Secretary-General of the Council, Hani Al-Nawafleh, affirmed that the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al-Hussein, president of the Jordanian Nursing Council, and her continuous guidance have been the fundamental pillar in the Council’s progress and development.

He confirmed that the renewal of the accreditation for the period 2025–2029 is the result of the support of Her Highness Princess Muna, who established a solid foundation for advancing the reality of nursing in Jordan, and has been and still is the greatest supporter of the Council’s journey, pointing out that her vision and wise guidance have enabled the Council to build a comprehensive professional development system responsive to scientific advancements and healthcare priorities in Jordan.

Al-Nawafleh mentioned that the renewal of the international accreditation enhances the Council’s ability to support health and educational institutions in developing their training programs, standardizing continuing education standards, and aligning specialty competencies with the rapidly changing clinical and technical variables, confirming that the Council will continue its role in improving the quality of nursing care through competency-based education and training.

He appreciated the devoted efforts of the Council’s staff which contributed to achieving this international success, confirming that what has been achieved is the fruit of teamwork reflecting a high level of professionalism and commitment, and that the Council’s staff are key partners in sustaining excellence, and that the Council will continue to support and empower them to enhance its role in developing the profession.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center is one of the most important global bodies granting accreditation for continuous professional development programs, as it employs precise methodologies in evaluating institutions including the quality of content, practices followed in planning continuing education, and measuring the impact of programs on professional performance and improving the quality of healthcare.
