Khaberni - Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Samirat disclosed on Monday the opening date of the Comprehensive Government Services Center in Mafraq Governorate.
Samirat stated that the Mafraq center would be opened next week, noting that 5 other centers will be established.
Speaking about digital transformation, he mentioned that a passport in Jordan is issued within just 20 minutes.
He pointed out that the ministry is working on updating the Sanad app and by the end of this year, there will be a significant improvement that enables citizens to complete transactions and make full electronic payments through the apps.
He noted that the government has adopted a plan to utilize artificial intelligence correctly in its services, and 15,000 government employees will be trained on AI technologies.
He also highlighted that the ministry's budget includes an acceleration of digital transformation next year to achieve 100% digitization of government services.
He clarified that some services have been digitized with old technologies and need to be re-engineered and developed.
