Khaberni - The Department of Utilities and Social Programs in the Greater Amman Municipality launched various events, coinciding with the start of the annual national campaign, the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which is held annually from November 25 to January 10, in line with the comprehensive national plan to combat violence against women and girls.
The campaign, targeting 250 women in social centers affiliated with the department, includes diverse awareness-raising lectures on digital and domestic violence, explanations of the causes of violence and its social and psychological effects, and methods to encourage participants to combat violence in the correct ways, in addition to holding dialogue sessions, and distributing gifts to female employees of the Greater Amman Municipality.
The organization of these events is part of the implementation plan for the "Your Health is Your Strength" project, which continues until the end of 2025.
