Khaberni - Agricultural Engineer Iman Battarseh Al-Burqan offered important advice to Jordanian farmers aimed at reviving weak or damaged olive trees, which she named: "Rejuvenating the Olive Tree," describing it as "a real rescue that brings the tree back to life and production again."

Engineer Al-Burqan clarified that this method is applied to old and weak trees, or those that have suffered from diseases leading to their emaciation, or have endured long periods of drought resulting in the drying and stiffening of major parts of the tree.

She pointed out that the basic step involves severely pruning the tree, potentially removing up to two-thirds of its volume - according to the agricultural expert’s assessment - followed by a boost of farmyard manure (whether composted or uncomposted) during this period of the year, depending on the size of the tree and its needs.

She also mentioned the importance of supporting the tree with chemical fertilizer in the main growth period, which begins in April, contributing to the tree's recovery of its health and productivity.

Al-Burqan concluded by saying: "God willing, the tree will return better than it was before," affirming her readiness to provide assistance and services free of charge to farmers interested in applying this method.
