Khaberni - The Jordanian national basketball team defeated its Syrian counterpart with a score of 100–48, in a match that took place today, Sunday, at 6:00 PM at Prince Hamzah Hall in Hussein City for Youth, within the first window of the Asian qualifiers leading to the World Cup finals - Qatar 2027.
The match saw a significant audience presence with strong support for the "Nashama Falcons," who managed to set the tempo from the start of the game, achieving a crucial victory at the beginning of their qualifying journey.
During the halftime break of the game, the Jordanian Basketball Federation organized a special tribute to player Ahmad Hamarsheh on the occasion of reaching his 100th international cap, making him the first player in the history of the national team to achieve this number. This tribute was in recognition of his years-long career, during which he consistently delivered high levels of performance, competitive spirit, and honorable representation of the team in various arenas.
The federation affirmed that Hamarsheh reaching the 100 cap milestone reflects a long-term commitment and a career full of contributions, making this milestone one of the significant marks in the history of Jordanian basketball.
