Khaberni - The head of the Amman Municipality Committee, Yousef Shawarbeh, revealed the revenue figures achieved by the municipality until last September, indicating that the revenue from traffic violations reached approximately 45,118 million dinar, building permit fees reached approximately 13,302 million dinar, and the fees for verifications (sidewalks, fences, returns) reached approximately 22,533 million dinar.

In response, Shawarbeh announced incentives to enable citizens to regularize their situations, including: 100% exemption on roofs and acquaintances, and discounts of up to 75% for correcting structural situations and violations, with the possibility of installment payments for all taxes and fees, to enable citizens to obtain an occupancy permit.

The municipality continues its plan for development and administrative streamlining and improving the financial team's efficiency. In the public transport sector, next year will see the operation of the "Amman-Salt" transport route, alongside the "Zarqa-Amman" and "Madaba-Amman" routes.

He confirmed the operation of 15 electric buses on the "Raghdan-Sweileh" line for the first time.

The municipality is working on updating the infrastructure and introducing projects to create job opportunities for youth. In this context, a tender has been issued for waste management and treatment in collaboration with "Vision Amman," and the responsibility for cleanliness will shift to it starting from February 2026.

Also, the Amman slaughterhouse project will be introduced as an investment opportunity at the beginning of 2027, and the municipality awaits the end of a study on the Amman Central Market to offer it for investment.

He confirmed that the municipality's services have completely transformed to digital.
