Khaberni - The governorate of Nabeul, northeast of Tunisia, witnessed a terrifying murder in which a young man in his twenties was killed after being stabbed several times following a sharp disagreement.
According to details, the crime occurred on the night of Saturday/Sunday in the Qara'a Sassy area belonging to the city of Korba in the governorate of Nabeul, during a drinking session that brought together several young men, where a violent fight broke out between the killer and the victim, escalating into an assault with a sharp object, resulting in the death of one of the attendees.
Preliminary data indicated that the National Guard units managed to arrest the main suspect in the commission of the crime, along with four other individuals who were present at the time of the incident.
Investigations are still ongoing by the competent security authorities to uncover all the circumstances of the incident and to determine the real motives that led to it.
This crime comes at a time when Tunisia is witnessing a noticeable increase in the rates of premeditated murders, which vary between family disputes and personal vendettas.
Unofficial data indicates that this year the country recorded about 1.92 intentional homicides per 100,000 residents, compared to the year 2024, which reflects an alarming upward trend in the level of societal violence.
