Khaberni - Yesterday, Saturday, the Minister of Transport, Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin, conducted a field tour at the King Hussein Bridge, Sheikh Hussein Bridge, and Jaber Crossing, focusing on monitoring the reality of passenger traffic, freight movements, and the supporting infrastructure within the Ministry of Transport’s responsibilities.

During the tour, accompanied by the Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, Engineer Riyad Al-Kharabsheh, Al-Qatamin reviewed the operational procedures in the freight yards and the facilities associated with the movement of goods, listening to the observations of the teams on the necessary improvements needed to enhance service levels and operational efficiency.

The Minister also viewed the ongoing development projects at the facilities associated with shipment, including the improvements made in the freight yards at Sheikh Hussein Bridge and the Exchange Yard project at King Hussein Bridge, as part of the Ministry's efforts to modernize the infrastructure supporting the road transport sector and enhance the readiness of the crossings.

Al-Qatamin emphasized that developing freight services and facilitating passenger movement are fundamental parts of the role played by the Ministry of Transport in supporting trade movement, stressing the need for ongoing work to improve operational efficiency, which contributes to enhancing Jordan's position as a regional logistical center and improving the level of services provided to transport companies and goods.
