Khaberni - In his meeting with the journalist Ibrahim Fayek, in the podcast "Fayek W Raiq," which he presents on "YouTube," the artist Amro Abdel Gelil expressed his great dissatisfaction due to being typecast in villainous roles, explaining that he is seriously thinking about retiring from acting if this typecasting continues.

Amro said: "When I worked on (Alexandria Again and Forever) the role wasn't comedic, it was complex, and I spent a period struggling in my life to convince them that I could do comedy, and they would say to me what do you have to do with comedy?"

He continued: "For years in my life, I've only been doing villainous roles, always the villain in someone’s story or all their stories, why do they see me like this? I don't know what to do and this matter is currently bothering me, and I’m thinking about leaving acting altogether if it continues this way."

Amro Abdelgelil reveals a surprise about his famous catchphrases
During the meeting, Abdel Gelil spoke about one of his famous catchphrases "how tiresome your mother is" which he delivered in the movie "Friday Market," revealing a surprise that the entire scene was from his own writing and vision. He discussed it with the late director Sameh Abdel Aziz and convinced him to present it while maintaining the dramatic framework of the scene, and he gathered all the colleagues participating in the scene to explain his idea, and indeed the scene was executed as it appeared in the movie.

Abdel Gelil revealed that the artist Sabri Fawaz could not hold himself from laughing throughout the filming of that scene, which actually showed in the movie.
