Khaberni - Moroccan authorities have arrested the influencer Sakina Bengalon, known as the owner of "The Most Expensive Divorce in Morocco", following a decision that included jailing her on charges of defaming her former husband through social media platforms.
The arrest came after Bengalon broadcast recordings and statements directly speaking about her disputes with her ex-husband, which he considered defamation of his reputation and led him to file an official complaint.
Bengalon was transferred, on Thursday evening, to the local prison in Casablanca after appearing before the public prosecutor's office, which heard her regarding the content she had published over the past months, which included details of the dispute between the two parties over money, properties, and child custody.
Moroccan media reports indicated that the last session focused on analyzing the videos and posts that were presented as part of the case file.
The facts reveal that the dispute between Sakina Bengalon and her ex-husband had started as a family matter related to divorce proceedings, then gradually turned into an open legal confrontation, after her statements spread widely and sparked controversy among social media users, prompting the former husband to resort to legal action for defamation.
Sakina Bengalon's name emerged on social media recently after she was dubbed the owner of "The Most Expensive Divorce in the World", following a previous court ruling in her favor that required payment of 720,000 dirhams for alimony and housing.
Due to this fame, "Sakina" began producing content related to her personal life and her marriage experience, before that very content led to her being legally pursued by her ex-husband.
