Khaberni - Saudi traffic authorities have confirmed that driving on road shoulders and on sidewalks or lanes where driving is prohibited disrupts traffic flow and distracts other drivers, and could lead to accidents.
The traffic department added in an infographic published today on their account on the (X) platform, that driving on road shoulders or sidewalks and paths is a traffic violation with a financial penalty ranging from 1000 to 2000 Saudi Riyals (approximately 189 to 278 Jordanian Dinars).
