Khaberni - The local administration minister, Walid Al-Masri, said on Saturday that the Amrah city project will be a green city that considers environmental demands and climate change. It will rely on clean energy, sewage water treatment and reuse, alongside the implementation of advanced solid waste management through complete recycling.

The government launched today the Amrah city project, which represents a new model in urban development and long-term population growth management. It adheres to sustainability and modernity standards, opens promising investment and economic opportunities, and acts as a nucleus for a futuristic model city for youth and the next generation. With precise organization and planning, its development stages will span over 25 years and across governments.

Al-Masri explained that the planning will be for a special regulatory council that will set the regulations related to urban planning schemes, considering the needs of investors.

Al-Masri stated that the government had completed a full year of legal, urban, and technical studies, and engaged in more than 20 workshops with experts in urban planning, economics, finance, and engineering, to reach the best governance model. Based on this, it was decided that the Jordanian Investment Fund would play a major role given the incentives it offers, which surpass the investment environment law, in addition to establishing an executive arm capable of forming partnerships and establishing subsidiary companies to manage development facilities.
