Khaberni - British media confirmed that Liverpool is targeting an unexpected name to take over coaching the team next season.
The Standard newspaper reported that the corridors of the English league champion are witnessing a state of quiet movement behind the scenes, with increasing discussions about the future of the technical staff and the club's long-term plans.
It explained: "Amid reports linking the English club with Paris Saint-Germain’s technical director Luis Enrique."
It added: "Although Liverpool's management is not heading towards any immediate change in the coaching position, Enrique has emerged as a strategic choice for the future, according to sources close to the club."
It continued: "The current coach Arne Slot continues his work normally, despite the pressures accompanying the fluctuating results in recent weeks, but the club's management sees in his technical project what deserves giving time and support."
It went on: "Having an alternative plan remains an option within any major club aspiring to stay in the competition for titles."
In contrast, Luis Enrique, who has been impressive with Paris Saint-Germain, is highly regarded within Liverpool, but the move towards him will not happen until the moment he separates from his French club. The club considers him a suitable name for a long-term project, due to his extensive European experience and ability to build strong teams in the medium term.
