The Sousse primary court in Tunisia, on Friday, issued a ruling to imprison the content creator known on "TikTok" as "Bint Al-Haj" (20 years old) for four effective months.

The Tunisian blogger was convicted of "assaulting public morals," "public indecency," and "drawing attention to an opportunity for committing debauchery," along with the charge of "feigning a crime" after she spread misleading news about her being murdered.

The public prosecution had issued an arrest warrant against her based on her publication of video clips and photos containing scenes described by the judiciary as "indecent and contrary to public morals."

The sentence comes in the context of an official campaign launched by the Tunisian Ministry of Justice since November 2023 to combat electronic content that contradicts moral values, where the minister authorized the public prosecution to open criminal investigations against anyone who deliberately publishes or promotes content that conflicts with good morals, especially on platforms like "TikTok" and "Instagram," warning of the negative impact of this phenomenon on the youth.
