Khaberni - Representing the Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, the Minister of Government Communication and the official government spokesperson, Mohammed Al-Momani, sponsored the opening of the "14th Model Jordanian Parliament" conference at King's Academy, with the participation of 55 public and private schools from various provinces of the kingdom under the slogan "Jordan first and identity always."
Minister Al-Momani stated that the experience of this parliament, which started in 2013, featured rich and deep discussions, and that its slogan highlights a genuine message that serving the kingdom and its interests comes first, and that serving the kingdom enables us to better serve our people, our nation, and human rights issues, which is a fundamental part of the Jordanian national identity.
He added that Jordanians are inherently nationalistic and that the Jordanian political discourse always expresses the Jordanian national identity, always speaking in a sophisticated human language that stands up for rights, particularly the right to self-determination for peoples, notably the right of the Palestinian people to determine their own destiny, emphasizing that Jordan has historically provided a political discourse consistent with its principles and values.
He explained that Jordan is built on values and the system of Jordanian national identity, and we are proud to be the inheritors of the Great Arab Revolt that came to revive the Arab nation and underscore humanitarian principles, affirming that standing by the weak and aiding those in distress and those seeking safety is a fundamental part of the Jordanian identity, as we never close our doors to those in need and relief seekers.
He noted that what makes Jordan different in its stability, security, and adoption of political, economic, and administrative reforms in a region that is ablaze, is due to its having wise, rational, and balanced leadership, which always makes the right, correct decision that enhances the public interest, in addition to the presence of professional military, security, and civilian institutions, and an enlightened, aware Jordanian citizen who has invested in his education and capabilities, respects differences in opinions, and believes in dialogue. Minister Al-Momani cited the recent events in Ramtha, which demonstrate the professionalism of state agencies and their ability to combat extremist ideologies and terrorism and promote values of tolerance and moderation, as consistently affirmed by His Majesty King Abdullah II in his speeches both domestically and internationally.
He emphasized the necessity of fostering digital awareness and the importance of positively investing digital media to elevate our values, constants, and interests.
