Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al-Safadi, confirmed on Friday that Syria's stability is of mutual interest to all regional countries, and that Syria's success in reconstruction will have positive effects on security and regional stability.

During the press conference at the conclusion of the tenth regional forum of the foreign ministers of the member states in the Union for the Mediterranean, Al-Safadi condemned the ongoing Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty through repeated attacks and sowing discord among the components of the Syrian people.

He stated that the continuation of this escalation constitutes a blatant violation of international norms and complicates efforts to stabilize the region.

Al-Safadi welcomed Syria's rejoining of the Union for the Mediterranean membership after years of suffering, appreciating the return of hope to the Syrian people in building their nation with freedom and dignity. He affirmed that Jordan continues to support Syria in its efforts to rebuild on foundations that ensure the security and stability of the country and meet the rights of all its citizens, ensuring justice and equality.

He added: "While we all work for the success of Syria and the rebuilding of its institutions, we see Israel working to undermine the stability of Syria and occupy more of its lands, which hampers our joint efforts to achieve peace in the region."
