Khaberni - Dr. Regina Bigbulatova, a rheumatology specialist, indicates that a sedentary lifestyle can lead to serious health issues, not only physical but also psychological.

She states that maintaining the same positions for long periods, such as sedentary office work, can lead to muscular cramps, reduced blood flow, and stress on the nervous system, which negatively impacts mental health.

She explains: "The body becomes fatigued, sleep becomes disturbed, negative emotions and anxiety appear, and it might lead to autoimmune diseases."

The doctor recommends a comprehensive approach to prevent these problems, through alternating between mental work and active rest. She says: "It is advised that after every 20-30 minutes of desk work, to perform warm-up exercises for 5-10 minutes, as physical exercises help relieve stress on the nervous system."

She also emphasizes the importance of physical activity outside work hours, like walking and spending time outdoors for 40-60 minutes daily, pointing out that this practice helps improve physical fitness and mental and emotional health.
