Khaberni - The Israeli occupation army acknowledged in an official statement that its forces sustained injuries during the incursion carried out at dawn on Friday in the town of "Beit Jinn" south of Syria, rural Damascus.
The army confirmed that 6 military personnel were injured, noting that 3 of them were in critical condition.
"The Hebrew Radio" quoted the occupation army providing additional details, clarifying that the injuries included 5 soldiers and two officers, with slight differences from the initial statement on ranks and final numbers.
The occupation army's statement explained that "forces from the Reserve Brigade led by the 210 Division" went out to carry out an operation inside Syrian territory, aiming to "arrest wanted individuals from the Islamic group."
The occupation claimed that the suspects "operated in the village of Beit Jinn and participated in developing terrorist plots against the citizens of Israel."
Regarding the course of the battle, the army admitted that the militants "opened fire on its forces," which responded to the sources of fire.
"The Hebrew Broadcasting Authority" confirmed that the intensity of the clashes, which lasted for two hours, compelled the occupation army to provide "air support" to the ground forces, in addition to using "artillery and drones" to secure the withdrawal process to the outskirts of the town after carrying out the arrests.
