Khaberni - A delegation from the United Nations, led by the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in the Palestinian territories, Dr. Ramez Al-Kharouf, visited the Jordanian field hospital in southern Gaza today, Thursday, and was received by the commander of the hospital force.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the working mechanism within the hospital, the nature of dealing with various medical cases, as well as an overview of the available medical specialties and the scope of medical and humanitarian services provided daily to meet the increasing needs of the residents of the sector.
The delegation expressed its appreciation for the medical and relief efforts provided by the hospital, and the important role played by the "Restore Hope" initiative through the amputee support unit, and the quality services it provides for critical cases requiring immediate surgical intervention given the limited capabilities in Gaza hospitals. It confirmed its commitment to continuing coordination and enhancing cooperation to alleviate the suffering of patients and improve the level of healthcare services.
This visit comes within the framework of exploring opportunities to expand cooperation to support the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip, and to enhance communication with institutions and organizations operating there, facilitating the mission of the Jordanian field hospital in performing its humanitarian duty and embodying the Kingdom's steadfast mission in supporting the Palestinian brethren.
