An Egyptian court ruled that artist Ahmed Salah Hosny must pay 100,000 Egyptian Pounds in compensation to citizen Mohamed Saleh and his wife, following a traffic accident that completely destroyed their car.
The case, registered under number 423 of the year 2025 for compensations in New Cairo, had the plaintiff demanding a compensation of one million Egyptian Pounds, stressing that he had suffered severe material and moral damages due to the accident. After reviewing the evidence and technical reports, the court estimated the compensation at 100,000 Egyptian Pounds, confirming negligence and recklessness in driving.

The litigation phase saw a notable development with the plaintiff's wife entering the case as the actual owner of the damaged car, which led the court to consider the damage as shared between the two parties and to compensate them together in the final judgment.
According to the case file, the accident occurred in January 2025 on Arabella Bridge in the Fifth Settlement, as Mohamed Saleh was driving his Nissan Ultra, which he had bought on installment within the Presidential initiative for vehicle replacement. He was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by artist Ahmed Salah Hosny at high speed, pushing his car more than 300 meters and resulting in him suffering bruises to the head and back, in addition to the total destruction of the car.
Mohamed Saleh confirmed that he was close to losing his life at the moment of the collision, and that the car, which was worth over one million Egyptian Pounds, became unusable, while he remained burdened with its monthly installments despite its total loss. The plaintiff's lawyer, Ramadan Abu Hendia, mentioned that his client tried to amicably reach out to the artist to obtain fair compensation, but did not receive any response, which compelled him to resort to the judiciary to secure his legal rights.
