Khaberni - The military court in Beirut postponed the trial of the Lebanese artist Fadel Shaker to February 3, 2026, following a request from his lawyer, Amata Mubarak, who requested a delay from the court to review the four cases her client is involved in.
It had been scheduled for the trial to begin this month on four charges: belonging to an armed group, financing the organization (Ahmad al-Assir group), possession of unlicensed weapons, and undermining the authority and dignity of the state.
The postponement came after Shaker appeared in court on the set date, but his representative asked for additional time to review all the documents, which the court accepted and postponed the proceedings until the new date.
