Al-Momani, during a meeting of the Parliamentary Finance Committee to discuss the budget of the Ministry of Government Communication, appreciated the efforts of soldiers on the borders and members of the security forces in protecting the nation from various threats, and their role in safeguarding the country's security and stability.
Al-Momani extended a greeting of appreciation to the national media in all its forms, praising its professionalism and expertise in covering the event, and its ongoing communication with official entities to obtain information from its sources, affirming that both the official and private media coverage was accurate, swift, and transparent, and represented a stance that invites pride and esteem.
Three members of the special security force were injured in a raid on a site in the Ramtha district on Tuesday evening, which sheltered two brothers wanted for harboring extremist ideology.
The Public Security Directorate stated in a release that as soon as the security force arrived at the site, the wanted individuals began firing heavily, resulting in the injury of the force members who were then transported to the hospital.
The statement noted that rules of engagement were executed, where the wanted outlaws were killed after barricading themselves at the site. The wanted individuals also used their mother as a human shield, but the security force managed to neutralize her and remove her without causing any harm.
The site was also searched, and a collection of firearms and military gear was seized.
