Khaberni - Within its firm commitment to its role as a leading and responsible digital provider that contributes to achieving a positive impact on society, Orange Jordan announced its sponsorship of the The GreenTech Makerthon 2025 event, aimed at enabling youth to develop practical solutions in the field of green technology to address environmental and climate challenges, in line with the national strategy for green growth in Jordan and sustainable development goals (7, 11, 12, 13).

The event is organized by Beyond Group Consulting and GreenTech in partnership with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and supported by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in coordination with the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. The current edition gathers over 60 young men and women from various provinces to develop innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and the circular economy to address environmental issues in waste management, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and climate adaptation.

Orange Jordan expressed its pride in sponsoring the event, confirming that this initiative reflects the company's deep belief in the importance of innovation as a cornerstone for achieving sustainable development and promoting green entrepreneurship, and in the ability of new generations to lead the change towards a more sustainable future through technology.

It is worth mentioning that the participants have undergone a series of stages that included training, mentoring, and developing prototypes, with the aim of transforming their ideas into realistic solutions with tangible environmental and community impact. This journey culminated in a final innovation camp, during which the top 10 teams presented their innovative models in front of a panel that included experts, investors, and representatives from various institutions.
