Khaberni - The Minister of Social Development, Wafaa Bani Mustafa, inspected this Wednesday morning, Al-Zahra Home for Special Elderly Care, in Wadi Al-Seer district, during a surprise visit, where she reviewed the reality and level of services provided to the elderly beneficiaries and the programs implemented in the home.
During her visit to the home, which is part of the ongoing field visits to care centers and units of the ministry, Bani Mustafa met the beneficiaries of the home and listened to their opinions and observations about the services provided to them in the home.
Bani Mustafa emphasized the importance of providing the best possible care and attention to the beneficiaries of the home, and the necessity to make more efforts to serve them and continuously provide their needs. She noted that the programs provided to the elderly are a priority for the ministry, especially in the area of psychological and social support and care for their health within the homes, which preserves their rights and human dignity.
She indicated that the ministry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, is working towards connecting the special homes for the elderly to the central monitoring room of the ministry, similar to government care homes.
Bani Mustafa also, during her visit to the home, inspected its facilities and departments, stressing the continuous and intensive need to ensure all general safety procedures there.
It is noted that Al-Zahra Home for Special Elderly Care was established in 2002 in the Marj Al-Hamam area, in the capital's governorate, providing shelter and health, social, and psychological care to the beneficiaries, addressing all needs necessary to be provided for them. The home has a capacity of (53) for both males and females, and currently houses (43) elderly residents.
