Khaberni - The Council of Deans at the Middle East University decided to promote the Dean of the Faculty of Media, Dr. Ramez Mohammed Abu Husiera, to the rank of Associate Professor.
Dr. Abu Husiera is a member of the editorial board of a number of prestigious international scientific journals indexed in the Scopus database, has participated in refereeing dozens of specialized research papers in journalism and communication at both the local and international levels, and has many peer-reviewed publications published
in those journals.
Since joining the Faculty of Media at the Middle East University in 2021, Dr. Abu Husiera has held a number of academic positions, starting from the head of the Department of Journalism and Media in 2023, then as the Deputy Dean in 2024, until the decision was made to appoint him as Dean of the Faculty in 2025.
Dr. Abu Husiera also worked as a part-time lecturer in the Graduate School – Department of Masters in Cinema and Television at An-Najah National University, which has added diverse experiences in the fields of teaching and research supervision to his academic credentials and contributed to enhancing the college's presence at both the local and regional levels.
