Khaberni - On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, sponsored on Tuesday the celebration of the Jordan Football Association’s Diamond Jubilee (75 years) of its establishment, with the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Al Hussein.

A film titled "From the Threshold of Dreams to the Lights of Glory" was shown during the event, covering milestones in the evolution of football in Jordan since 1923, leading up to the historic qualification for the 2026 World Cup finals, especially the role of the Association in institutionalizing the game and developing it since its inception 75 years ago.

The event featured the launch of a musical piece composed by Talal Abu Ragheb celebrating the qualifying for the World Cup finals, in addition to unveiling the new trophy for the Jordan Professional League, which was designed by Jordanian hands, with engravings that represent the national heritage.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince honored players, coaches, influential figures, and partner institutions, in recognition of their contributions to the journey of Jordanian football.

The event was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, Her Royal Highness Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, President of the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation, and His Royal Highness Prince Mera'd bin Ra'ad, Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, as well as several senior officials and representatives of sports associations in brotherly and friendly countries, also attended the event.

In appreciation of their efforts in supporting the journey of football in the kingdom, His Royal Highness Prince Ali presented, during the event, two honorary shields to His Majesty King Abdullah II and to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.

During the event, the future vision of the Association and the strategy of Jordanian football until 2029 were reviewed, which focuses on four pillars: technical advancement, empowerment and growth, infrastructure, and social interaction.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince held a meeting with FIFA President Gianni Infantino on the sidelines of the event, discussing ways to expand cooperation between Jordan and FIFA in the sports field.
