Khaberni - US President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday evening that an agreement regarding the resolution of the crisis in Ukraine is very close, emphasizing that the matter is not easy.

He said in a speech during the traditional symbolic ceremony of the presidential pardon of two turkeys at the White House before Thanksgiving, which is celebrated in the United States this year on November 27: "This is not easy. But, I don't know, I think we will succeed," referring to the settlement of the conflict.

Trump added: "I think we are very close to the deal. We will see. I thought this could be accomplished faster."

Earlier today, White House spokesperson Carolyn Levitt confirmed that the United States had made tremendous progress towards achieving a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.

She added: "There are some intricate details that need to be settled, which are not insurmountable, but will require further discussions between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States."

Earlier today, a US official told ABC News that the Ukrainian delegation had officially agreed to the terms of the peace agreement with Russia proposed by the United States, with some details specified.

ABC News reported that the American peace plan, initially consisting of 28 points and presented to Ukraine in Geneva, underwent significant modifications to become only 19 points, as sensitive issues related to amnesty for acts committed during the war were removed, along with proposed restrictions on the future size of the Ukrainian army.

Despite the initial approval, Vladimir Zelensky indicated in a speech on Monday night that more work is needed on the plan, which was modified over the weekend.
