Khaberni - In her memoirs, the late artist Leila Murad recounts one of the hardest chapters of her life, where she found herself in the midst of a final divorce accompanied by a wave of rumors that affected her reputation and standing.
She notes that her husband, the actor Anwar Wagdi, had previously divorced her twice, and despite warnings from those around him against reaching the third divorce, he proceeded with it in a moment of anger, leading her to leave the marital home and return to her family.
After some time had passed since the separation, Anwar Wagdi tried to renew the relationship again through a mediator, but Leila set conditions that ensured her respect and dignity, confirming that he initially agreed to them. However, she was later shocked by the spread of harmful rumors attributed to him, which damaged her image and touched on sensitive aspects related to her honor and the patriotism of her stances, causing her a great shock and forcing her to respond and refute them.
She explains that the attempts by close ones to mend the relationship did not bear fruit, after it became apparent to her that Anwar had not adhered to the previous agreement, so she refused any return, which increased the intensity of the rumors that kept coming her way and she prayed to God to protect her from their impact.
Leila recalls that she completely cut off her relationship with Anwar, and no longer thought of him except when his name came up linked to one of the rumors. Despite the psychological difficulties, she endeavored to start a new life, bought a plot of land in Garden City, and began building her own building before she experienced an unexpected event during that period that brought back feelings of anticipation and anxiety once again.
