Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, conducted extensive talks on Tuesday, with German Foreign Minister Johann David Wadephul, focusing on ways to enhance bilateral relations and regional developments.

Safadi and Wadephul reviewed during the meeting the results of the talks they held in Amman last month on ways to expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and Germany in various vital and developmental sectors including water, investment, education, vocational training, tourism, and defense.

Safadi appreciated the outstanding level that the relations between the two countries have reached, and Germany's continuous support for the Kingdom in development projects and facing the repercussions of regional crises.

Safadi and Wadephul discussed regional developments and updates in Gaza, confirming the necessity of concerted efforts to adhere to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, fully implement its terms, ensure the adequate and immediate entry of humanitarian aid to the sector, remove Israeli obstacles to its entry, and link efforts to achieve stability with a clear political horizon to achieve fair and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Safadi emphasized the necessity to stop all Israeli unlawful unilateral measures that undermine efforts towards a two-state solution and the chances of achieving peace, especially the building and expansion of settlements, the confiscation of Palestinian land, the strangulation of the Palestinian economy, and attempts to alter the historical and legal status of the Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
