Khaberni - The head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, MP Nimr Al-Sulihat, stated on Tuesday that the committee is likely to conclude its discussions on the draft law for the general budget of the fiscal year 2026, on December 8 to be submitted under the parliament dome for general discussion and voting.
The Parliamentary Finance Committee began discussing the general budget for the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Environment, Finance and their departments today.
Al-Sulihat told "Khaberni" that all the official agencies and departments under discussion "will get their due" in the debates despite the intensification of the committee’s work, clarifying that the committee has doubled its working hours from 6 to 12 hours, so much so that it will operate on Saturdays.
He added that the Speaker of the House, Mazen Al-Qadi, has directed for "there to be quality and precision in the report, and professionalism in the analysis of the budget before approval."
