Khaberni - A specialized medical team led by the pediatric ENT surgery consultant Brigadier Dr. Eyad Al-Safadi, at Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II Military Hospital in Aqaba Governorate, performed a laryngeal relaxation correction surgery on a child aged 7 weeks, conducted for the first time in the military hospitals in the southern region.
The hospital director Brigadier Dr. Eyad Al-Safadi confirmed that carrying out such surgeries represents a qualitative leap in the medical services provided in the military hospitals in the southern region, noting that the child urgently needed a precise operation to correct laryngeal relaxation, which is essential for the child’s life and normal development.
The child was born with severe laryngeal relaxation, which caused him extreme difficulty in breathing and feeding, leading to his complete dependence on artificial respiration tube. After the surgery, he showed notable improvement and left the hospital breathing normally after several days.
The child's family expressed their thanks to the distinguished medical staff of ENT doctors, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and nursing staff for their care during the child's treatment period.
