Khaberni - The Palestine committees in both the Jordan Senate and the House of Representatives followed the latest developments in the Palestinian arena involving the incursion by Israeli occupation forces and the Shabak into one of the symbols of Palestinian history and memory, the Hakawati Theater, and their assault on institutions and Palestinian childhood by blocking a European-funded Palestinian children's play, which is considered a violation of all international conventions and norms.
The Palestine committees in both the Jordan Senate and the House of Representatives, represented by their heads Mazen Darwaza and Suleiman Al-Saud, condemned this assault by the extreme right-wing gangs from the occupying state, reflecting a state of fear towards history and civilization. This proves that it is a fragile occupying state, terrified by a word or a children's theater performance, through which the extremist Zionist entity tries to obliterate the Arab Islamic and Christian identity and culture, particularly in Jerusalem, which is considered the city of prophets, a message of religions and peace, and a key to stability and safety.
The committees regarded these practices as a dangerous phase in the Judaization and targeting of Arab presence in holy Jerusalem. They call on international organizations, led by the United Nations, UNESCO, the Human Rights Council, and European Union states, to immediately intervene and take prompt legal actions to prevent the occupation from continuing assaults targeting the Palestinian national identity.
In this context, the Palestine committees in both the Jordan Senate and the House of Representatives appreciated the efforts of His Majesty the King in supporting the preservation of the Jerusalemite identity, the importance of Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, which preserves the religious rights of Muslims and Christians in Jerusalem, ensures their rights, and maintains the identity and integrity of the sanctities.
The committees reaffirmed the historical right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
