Khaberni - A security report for the Cairo Security Directorate in Egypt revealed a new harassment incident inside a school in the First Settlement area, just days after a shocking sexual assault incident inside an international school.

Two parents filed a report with the general office of the First Settlement police station against a school bus driver who transports their daughters daily to the educational institution, accusing him of harassing the two girls and touching sensitive areas of their bodies.

The parents disclosed in the report filed to the security forces that the incident began with the two girls crying to their families and talking about indecent acts the driver committed against them.

Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper quoted security sources as saying that the security leadership at the Cairo Security Directorate is following up on the details of the incident and listening to the parents, after it emerged that there were other cases complaining about the same driver, with efforts underway to enumerate those cases and prepare necessary investigations.

This incident follows just days after an assault on 5 children in an international school in El-Salam area, which led the public prosecution to order the detention of 4 suspects for four days pending investigations,

This incident occurred less than a week after the "El-Salam nightmare," where the public prosecution arrested 4 employees at the Seeds of Languages International School in El-Salam city, accused of indecently exposing 5-6 young children (ages 4-6 years) inside a school room known as "the terrifying room".

The investigations, which lasted a strenuous 48 hours, revealed that the assaults persisted for a whole year, involving threats with a knife, using masks, and tying up victims, while luring them with toys during the absence of supervision.

Sexual harassment and assault on children are among the most painful and psychologically impactful crimes in Egyptian society, with thousands of children annually suffering from violations both inside and outside schools, according to reports from organizations like UNICEF and the Cairo Center for Human Rights Studies.

In recent years, Egypt has experienced a wave of shocking revelations, like the "Room 7" case at a school in Mansoura in 2020, where more than 30 children were assaulted by a teacher, resulting in his life imprisonment and sparking national awareness campaigns.
