Khaberni - Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Culture, Mr. Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh, represented by His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Ministry, Dr. Nidal Al-Ayasra, Haya Cultural Center celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025, the 49th anniversary of its establishment at the Ruseifa branch for local community development, under the slogan "With the Pulse of Our Communities," in the presence of sponsors, supporters, local and international partners, and with active participation from children and families.
The event also saw the attendance of several official and cultural figures, including His Excellency the Diplomatic Attaché Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Shaya, representing His Excellency the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan, Mr. Hamad Al-Mari, His Excellency the Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of China Mr. Zhao Xiaoqiang, His Excellency the Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Hungary Mr. Fabian Armin Vincentius, and His Excellency the Commissioner of Ruseifa District, Mr. Omar Al-Hadid, reaffirming their support for the center's mission and its role in serving the local communities.
This occasion celebrated the tangible impact and quality achievements Haya Cultural Center has accomplished during 2024 and 2025 in serving the local community, continuing its diverse programs to enhance the role of arts, culture, technology, and interactive learning in developing the skills of children and youth, and expanding their chances to participate in creative and educational activities. These efforts have solidified the center's status as an active institution in empowering society, creating safe and motivating environments that encourage children and families to learn, discover, and actively participate in cultural life.
The celebration included an artistic performance prepared by a group of children from the center, a short documentary video showing the role of the Ruseifa branch in supporting local communities, in addition to an interactive theatrical performance titled "Not My Problem," along with highlighting the center's vision for the coming years.
Mr. Jamal Freiz, the chairman of the administrative board at Haya Cultural Center, expressed pride in this journey, saying; "We celebrate today a journey rooted in achievements and initiatives that have reached every corner of Jordan, and here we are preparing to enter our fiftieth year with an ambitious vision that extends to include more children and families, and invent new tools for cultural and creative empowerment. We believe that sustainable partnerships with our supporters are the cornerstone of this vision, and we look forward to building more bridges with our current and potential partners to achieve deeper and more inclusive impact."
At the end of the event, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture, Dr. Nidal Al-Ahmad, emphasized the importance of the partnership between the Ministry of Culture and Haya Cultural Center in supporting cultural initiatives and developing reading awareness among children and youth, indicating that the Mobile Children's Library project represents a successful national model in promoting reading culture and enhancing national identity under the slogan "I am Jordanian… Proud."
His Excellency also praised the comprehensive role that the center's other programs provide in the fields of arts, music, technology, drama, and community empowerment, confirming that they contribute to building a conscious, creative generation, capable of expressing itself and employing its skills to serve its community and nation. He noted that the diversity of these programs and their widespread reach across different provinces makes Haya Cultural Center a fundamental partner in national efforts aimed at establishing culture and arts as a pillar of sustainable development and enhancing national pride and belonging.
Following the official program, the center organized a tour for the event's guests that included different areas of the Ruseifa branch and its various facilities, where attendees were introduced to the main community projects supported by the center's partners, and programs for children, youth, and women, in addition to art and creativity spaces, and an open art exhibition featuring works produced by children, culminating in a presentation outlining the plan for expanding and developing services at the Ruseifa branch to include more educational and cultural spaces for sustainable service to the local community, and much more.
The event witnessed broad participation from governmental representatives, civil society organizations, supporting institutions, and activists in the fields of culture, development, and childhood, which enhanced networking opportunities and opened new horizons for collaboration in the upcoming phase.

Haya Cultural Center was established in 1976 to be the first non-profit cultural center dedicated to children and youth in Jordan, offering an educational and creative space that enhances children's skills through arts, technology, music, drama, and experimental learning.
