Khaberni - The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority announced the reactivation of the scholarship program for technical and vocational diplomas, after it had been halted since 2022.
The Authority's Vice President of the Commissioners' Council, Karima Al-Dabat, stated that registration will open in the middle of next month through a dedicated electronic platform of the Authority. She highlighted that 20 scholarships have been allocated for the technical diploma for a duration of three years, as this track is one of the most demanded in the job market. The disciplines include network technology, technical industrial engineering, electrical systems and equipment engineering, and industrial control technology, in addition to other technical specializations needed by the city of Aqaba and its industrial and investment projects.
She added that 80 scholarships have also been allocated for the vocational diploma, bringing the total number of scholarships offered this year to 100. She affirmed the commitment of the Aqaba Authority to empower the youth, both males and females, of the region and qualify them for the job market, supporting the development and modernization journey in Aqaba.
